My DD had her 8 week vaccination and has since had diarrhoea and not drinking as much milk.
Has any one else had this too? We are on day 9 of diarrhoea and not sure when its going to end. The doctor didnt seem worried?
Sorry for the pic but this is what her nappy looks like atleast 6 times a day and as soon as she starts sucking her bottle she poos.
She only takes a max of 4oz of milk every 3-4 hours and shes now 10 weeks.

Can't help with the milk but there's another thread about green poop post 8 week vaccinations at the moment. It's probably rotavirus drops, my baby has green poop for about 3 weeks after.

My baby had identical looking green diapers after the 8 week rotavirus vaccine! A few times was streaked with blood though the doctor suspected it was a local injury due to diarrhea rather than cow milk allergy. The green poo lasted 2-3 weeks and tapered off without any lasting problems (7months now). I never changed my diet and also fed her everything since starting solids and she has no intolerances or allergies.

On day 11 of this poo and shes pooping with every single bottle so atleast 6 of these poos a day... anyone had the same with frequency?

Try not to worry. The nurse told me it’s a possible side effect of the rotavirus vaccine- also says so on the nhs website if you google the vaccine.

I imagine it's just a side effect from the rotavirus vaccine - the oral one. Diarrhoea lasts quite a while with small babies, can take 2-3 weeks for things to settle down. The import thing is to stay hydrated and monitor wet nappies in 24 hours.

We took our DD to the GP on day 12 of upset tummy after her 8 week injections with similar concerns. GP tested her stool to be sure and all fine.

When we had the 12 week vaccinations we mentioned the long period of upset and the nurse told us in her experience 2 weeks or so of diarrhoea was quite common. If baby isn’t dehydrated I wouldn’t worry too much.

It'll be the rotavirus oral vaccine. My DS1 has the same. I got him some infant probiotics and it sorted it out.

@NanooCov im on day 12 of diarrhea with DD and she poops after every single feed now bless her. How long did yours last? Was the poop as frequent as every feed?

@LittleTopic thank you - how many days did yours last in the end? Was it as much as pooping after every feed? (Atleast 6 ish times a day)

It was around 2 weeks in the end. I don’t think she did after every feed but it was probably 4/5 times a day when she usually goes once!

12 week jabs are much better Smile

Yes, my DD pooped after every feed and there were days with 10-12 diarrhea nappies, including blowouts at night. Be sure to wash your hands well, I think I infected myself as I also had an upset stomach the entire week she was pooing loads.

@bearec2003 just thought id tag you in this, this was my post about the diarrhea which has a couple responses on it
