Adding to frozen breast milk without chilling first - help!

Since my baby was a month old I have been expressing and freezing breast milk on a daily basis. This is because I have to have a double mastectomy in a few months' time and I will need to stop breastfeeding in preparation for that, but I want to be able to give him breast milk for as long as possible. I've been collecting the milk at night and freezing it - usually quite a lot in one go, 100 - 150ml. I've been topping up the bags then with a bit of the next night's milk to make it a full bag.

I expressed with my eldest son and remembered adding to frozen milk and that it was okay as long as you always add less than the amount you have frozen because of thawing. However, I totally forgot that you were supposed to chill down what you are adding first.

I have literally litres and litres of milk in the freezer where I have added a little bit of freshly expressed milk body/room temperature milk to frozen milk. Has anyone else done this and still used it for their baby? I am going to have to stop breastfeeding in a few weeks for the surgery and haven't time to build my frozen milk supply up again. I am very tempted to still use the milk. What would you do?

Sorry no advice but I only freeze small amounts at a time 30-60ml.
That way I only defrost what dc will drink and not waste any.

I would still use the milk as the frozen milk will have chilled it down before it froze if that makes sense?
