Terrible eczema with possible cows milk allergy

Hi mums,

My 3 month old has terrible eczema which flares up and weeps. GPs have prescribed all sorts which has actually made it worse. GP eventually referred us to a paediatrician and have prescribed my baby with stronger steroids and antihistamine to take orally. However, it did flare up again after using the steroid after 3-4 days burst as instructed by paed. I then read about CMPA, and rang the consultant about feeding him with dairy free milk formula. I was wondering if any mums have been through the same thing with their babies and how long it took for the new formula to take effect as apparently it can take up to 6 weeks to notice the difference?
