Leaking pull ups

Morning all!
18 month old has been in pull ups for ages now but they’ve all of a sudden started leaking at night? He’s around 12kg, been in the asda brand size 5 for a while with no problems until now. I’ve tried aldi but they leak. Also gave lidl a try (much preferred those as they are very soft and elasticated) but they leaked the worst!
Can anyone please advise! His vest is 18-24 months and isn’t tight at all. He doesn’t wake in the night for a bottle.

Has anyone used pampers premium protection or the pampers baby dry? Wondering if it’s worth giving one of these a try?

Tried the pampers premium protection which have been great! Until the last 4 nights where it’s leaked every night and I’ve had to wash his sleeping bag every morning. Do I need to go to a size 6?? Although I thought it’s the same absorbency just larger sized?

Does he wriggle around a lot in his sleep. We had leak issues with DS and what helped was putting a cloth nappy outer (Velcro fastening) tightly over the disposable nappy. You can pick the cloth nappies up cheaply on eBay (try Alva brand) if you don't have any.

@lifesnotaspectatorsport thank you for replying Smile yes he’s a worm! Wriggles round so much! I’ll have a nosey at those.

We size up at night - so Aldi size 6 nappies and they work better then the size 5 did - more coverage I guess!

I’ll get some size 6 as he will go into a size bigger at some point anyway. Thank you!
