Hi there, new to this section but need a bit of advice. . .

DD has just turned 2 yo and has started getting really good at letting me know when she's going for a wee (you know the signs, hand on fanny "mummy, wee wee"
She's still in nappies, cloth one's at home during the day, disposable one's at night.

I have a slight reluctance to try and potty train just yet as I'm due to give birth in 6 weeks, or would this be the best time to train (quick before I'm bogged down with dirty nappies and baby sick everywhere?!!)

Anyone else been in the same position? What did you do?

Thinking, as I don't have a lot on in the next few days, maybe spending them in the garden and letting her run riot without anything on (with potty on stand-by)

Thanks
xxx

Got to add she did a little wee and poo for Granny a few weeks ago on the toilet (it was a trip to the loo for Granny but she insisted on going with her LOL)

I was a bit upset that I'd missed her first "good girl" moment LOL

You need to wait until she tells you before hand rather than when she is doing it. It will be harder clearing up puddles than just waiting a few more weeks/months. Sounds like it will be soon though. It seems that lots of kids go through the phase of telling you when they are doing it, then have a mental and/or physical growth spurt and all of a sudden they can tell you before hand and thats the time to get the potty out and the nappies off.
