From Pram Cot to Rear Facing Pram Chair

Morning. Does anyone have any advice as to when to make the above switch? I'm sure I did this with my DS around the six month mark, but I'm not sure if I did this due to stringently sticking to advice at the time.

Far more relaxed with four month old DD, who seems far more interested in the World than DS.

I think it's when their neck is strong enough to sit up in the chair without slouching over. We moved DD into forward facing pram at about 5 months

Does the seat fully recline?
If the seat fully reclines then I'd be okay with putting them in the seat. Some seats are suitable for newborns! Otherwise I'd base it on how their head control is as to whether or not they'd be okay in the semi-reclined seat.

I did it at 4 months with both mine (large, excellent head control.) DS1 had reflux and as it was a reclining seat I wish I’d done it sooner.

We've just had to do it now at 2 months because DS (98th centile) has outgrown the cot. He's very strong in his neck and we don't sit it completely upright, it's still somewhat reclined.
