11 month old tantrums

Hi,

My 11 month old has started to have what I would describe as mini tantrums lies on the floor screaming arching his back getting into a car seat that sort of thing.

I was just wondering if this is normal I thought this happened around 2.

If so any advice on how to deal with them. At the moment I'm just trying to distract him.

They all start at different ages, though at 11months it is less of a conscious thing.
As you are doing - distract, distract, distract.

Just make sure there is no actual issue with pain or discomfort.

If you’re certain there is no pain, just let him/her carry on. I used to watch mine flailing on the floor. I think two of mine had tantrums at about that age. The tantrums stopped when they figured out they wouldn’t work.
