Hello fellow mumsnetters. Exactly what the title says really in your experience which is better a sunshade or parasol for pram?

I never had a parasol, so many people told me they were useless. I bought a buggy buddy shade that clips onto the pram and can be adjusted easily was great for the winter sun, until baby started playing with it as a toy. I also bought a big shade thing from aldi which was great for draping over the pram when the baby was struggling to fall asleep. Both are good relatively cheap

Parasols are a total pain in the bum. Every time you change direction you have to move it. I had sunshades and they were fab, just make sure it has good ventilation. I'm sure you know that anyway though!

SnoozeShade Original Universal Baby Sunshade (blocks 99% UV) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0039NQ3TW/ref=cmswwrcppapiii_KQ.oDbMJDWMZM

Snoozeshade definitely. Might need the one with a viewing panel for an older child. I still use the original one. On holidays it was a godsend as he slept in the buggy during the day as soon as I put it on.

We had a parasol for the carry cot which was a faff but the shade on our buggy is amazing (we prioritised this when buying). We use a snooze shade on our travel pushchair which is great for keeping the sun off and creating a calmer environment for our now toddler to nap in.

I bought one of these last year for my little one. Really handy as it folds up small into a little bag. Provides really good coverage and easy to move. It’s cheaper now than what I paid last year, typical!!
