From breast to bottle.... need advice please

Hiya
After some advice from people who have previously made the transition from breast to bottle feeding?
My little girl is 15 weeks old and the past four days I have switched to bottle feeding from breastfeeding. We are using SMA formula and MAM teats. It was a battle at first and I’m still struggling with her every time she feeds it takes a couple of minutes for her to accept the bottle. Once she has done that, the most she will finish at a time is 2oz at the moment. For this reason I’m offering her a fresh bottle every hour as I’m so concerned about her being hungry. She is having 2-3 oz every 3 hours roughly and I just don’t feel this is a lot at all! Has this happened to anyone else? I’m checking for wet nappies and she is having them regularly so I guess she’s not dehydrated. I’m just a bit miffed and have crippling guilt about switching her now.
Any advice appreciated

Have you swapped gradually by replacing one feed a day or have you just gone cold turkey?

It maybe worth trying a few different bottles until you find one she likes.

I only had the option to use the bottle, but it definitely made a difference which bottle I gave him. Only Lansinoh worked for him. Everything else was an issue. But the Lansinoh worked right away and it has a little air thing on it to help them not swallow too much air. That helped with spitting up.

Well I guess you don't know how much your little girl was having if you were breastfeeding, but that doesn't sound much. However if she's having that every three hours including in the night then that's 24 oz.

When we transitioned out baby would only have what he needed, but gradually took more and more as he got used to bottles. Have you tried expressing and giving bread milk in bottle. I know ours wasn't keen on formula when we swapped. We gradually added more and more formula to expressed breast milk until he was completely on formula.

Persevere. Slowly but surely. She won't starve herself, introduce it gradually. What you're going through is normal ThanksSmile
