Starting potty training with 22 month old, any advice

Starting this weekend! She has been asking to use the potty, and telling us when she's done a wee or a poo, so I reckon its time to give it a go. Any good tips anyone?

Have you got a portable potty? We got one with lid that seals the contents in which has been quite useful in urgent situations.
Lots and lots of praise helps it all go much more smoothly too

Let her run around naked, so she notices when she needs to pee/poo.

Buy to book oh crap it's brilliant.
Phase 1 - no clothes, watch like a hawk for tells they are going to toilet, plonk them on potty. Once they understand where there wee and poo go
Phase 2 - clothes on. Can they push their own pants down ?
Then it's a small walk and build from there.

It's more to it than that but that's the idea, buy the book it will fill you in
We used big sanitary liners for the car seat and pram for a week or so just in case of any accidents

We trained our son at 21 months, he now doesn't wear a nappy for bed, he's 23 months (2 in a week and a half)

If she can tell great but regular prompting too. Lots of praise. If she has an accident be chilled about it. Probably still nappies at night til she wakes up a few times in the morning dry.

Definitely the Oh crap method.
