Best reasonably priced baby carriers

I have an ergo baby mesh which was really expensive and my DS(6 months) doesn't really like it. He wants to face out but there is just too much material in his face. I'd like to try another carrier but I don't want to spend a bomb. Any recommendations?

Have you tried a sling/wrap? We have an Amawrap (about £40) that we use as well as a carrier, find the wrap much more comfortable for around the house when my daughter is having a clingy day rather than for when we are out and about. I was a bit sceptical about wraps vs. the more structured carriers but I have been pleasantly surprised, even used it for a few walks.

It might be that your carrier will work out better as he gets a bit bigger and you just need something to tide you over for a bit.

That Amawrap looks like a stretchy one, stretchy wraps are great for newborns but I wouldn't recommend one to OP as it will be too heavy in a couple of months.

Having said that OP you're likely to have the same problem with facing out - it is only sustainable for so long as the baby gets too heavy. Have you tried putting him on your back in the Ergo?

I have a Stokke 3 in 1 carrier which is really good, especially now my LO is over 12 months. It's a bit pricey brand new but I brought it from Facebook market place for £30 barely used.

You might also have a sling/carrier library in your area that could give you some advice or let you loan a carrier first to see if you and your LO like it before you buy your own.
