Nap time when 26 months old

Try and make this short and to the point.
Booked a holiday for Jan 2020 when DS will be 26 months, he currently naps in his cot every day for 2 hours 1pm till 3pm
Had an email from holiday saying if we book activities before end of August we can get upto 50% off the prices.
In your experience what times to 2 years olds nap and for roughly how long. (I know every child is different, but just after a rough idea)
Going with lots of family members, but DS is the only child going, plenty of aunts/uncles and grandparents to watch DS so me & DP can do activities without DS but i don't want to book activities for DS based on his sleep schedule now when it could change drastically in 6 months time.
If he is still likely to have an afternoon nap I will book his things for mornings.
Thanks

We dropped the nap at this time.

Mine didnt nap anymore at that age.

Mine is 25 months and still napping 1-3pm every day: she actually fell asleep on her chair in a restaurant only yesterday! If anything I’ve found that she’s so much more active that she fights her naps less and is much easier to pop in the buggy for a snooze than she was when she was younger. That said, some toddlers that age have dropped their naps completely so you really have no way of knowing. Personally I’d plan for your DS to have some quiet time during that window which is usually a good idea with toddler anyway and book any activities that he would be a part of for the morning. That way he has the afternoon to nap/relax and to get out of the sun if it’s a hot country.

Mine rarely naps or if she does it’s 30 minutes on the car or pushchair in the afternoon

My dd is 27 months and still has an hour a day; as early as possible otherwise she doesn’t sleep in the evening. So at the weekend when i’m around i’ll try to get her down about 11 and then wake her about 12. But i’ve always tried to do earlier naps rather than in the afternoon so it’s whatever works for you.

Also worth noting that, like previous posters, ds (now 5) dropped his nap around 26 months. Don’t know how much longer dd will continue with hers.

Enjoy your holiday!

Ds is 26 months and sleeps between 1-3 hours a day still! 11-2 sometimes.

I think the answer is there is no way of knowing!

DD1 napped every day for 1- 2 hours at that age for sure, we went away when she was 27 months.

DD2 is 2 next week and 100% still naps around 1 1/2 - 2 hours at the mo. Can get away with 45 mins in buggy, but def needs a daily nap!

My DS is 27 months and still naps 2-2.5 hours every afternoon.

DS is a few weeks away from 3 and naps 2-4 or a bit less, though there are days now when he doesn't.

lovelilies · 24/07/2019 03:05

Hell, I'm 38 and love a nap 😂

DappledThings · 24/07/2019 08:14

DS is 3 and a half and still naps! Not on a schedule but wherever he can for at least 40 minutes.
