Advice needed on how to handle negative breastfeeding toddler comments.

Previously supportive relatives are now raising eyebrows and making PA comments such as ‘you’re getting too old for that now’ directed at my 15month old when he feeds or just tries too.

Please bear in mind these are loved relatives and I’m not setting out to find the most pithy put down but just a way to go on feeding my ds and not get bogged down with silly comments.

And sorry if I don’t reply. I’ll appreciate any answers but hoping to fall back to sleep soon!

Could you politely explain that it's a WHO recommendation to continue breastfeeding up until, and beyond, the age of two? So, with that in mind, you'll stop when you're both ready?

I think that’s a good idea with my family but would fly over my MILs head. Without mil bashing, she is being the most vocal about it.

I think you just need to be politely blunt 'I expect to be breastfeeding for another few months'

"He doesn't think so" maybe?

I love that megasaur. I was happily breastfeeding him in MIL’s sight in a village hall today but gladly no comment from her.
