Can I ask what time your 4 year olds go to bed please? I have just spent an hour and a bit trying to get my just turned four year old asleep. She is in bed for 7, is it too early?

What time does she wake up in the morning?

Heratnumber7 · 17/07/2019 23:18

7 is fine in my book.

I think it depends, is she tired at 7? When does she get up? My dc1 is 4 this month. He is asleep between 7.30 and 8.30. He gets up between 6.30 and 7.30 (usually the earlier end) and is often really tired, but because of work I can't get him to bed earlier every night. He does just have a story and go to bed though so maybe irrespective of time, it would be worth working on getting her to a stage where you can put her in bed and leave her?

Lights out by 7 here, she sleeps until 7.

My 4 year old goes to bed around 7.30. Used to be 7 but we give her that extra half hour after her younger brother is in bed for 1 on 1 time to do something she likes.

Just turned 4 year old. Bedtime between 7 and 7.30. Usually sleeps til around 7. No naps

Almost 4, bedtime is 7-7:30, closer to 7 if there are yawns and eye rubbing.

So it’s about right then, 7pm. She literally does not show any signs of tiredness and would keep going and going and going. I think last night was worse as completely unusually she got up at 8 yesterday morning and had a fairly relaxing day at home so perhaps she just wasn’t tired. She is so good during the day but bed time is starting to drive me crazy. She woke up at 6 this morning so hopefully bedtime will be a smoother transition this evening!

Mine only sleeps for 10-10.5 hours so she's asleep by about 7.45. It's been a struggle finding the balance but any earlier and she just wakes up even earlier Brew

My just turned 4 year old goes to bed at 7.30 and wakes at 7 ish. She's a really reactive sleeper, so if she goes to bed late she sleeps late and vice versa (unlike her brother who gets up early even after a late night). I think if she's pleasant enough during the day and not seeming tired at 7 I'd move bedtime a bit later.
