Hi , I’m having a hard time with my over tired 6 week old ...he’s only taking cat naps in the day of twenty minutes 😩 I’ve seen you can buy gro swaddles as I’ve noticed his reflex wakes him sometimes, I should of done it from the start really.. i had a google and it said don’t introduce now unless you’ve done it from birth, is this correct ? I’ve noticed he’s gone into his side a couple of times in the night so would they be dangerous? X

I'm not sure about that advice about not being able to start now. I started late with my boy and it helped so so much.

Hmmm if he is rolling onto his side I THINK that is ok. I wouldn't think at 6 weeks he is able to get onto his tummy (which is the time you must stop using them) but I don't want to give incorrect advice so hopefully someone else can help too.

If you can use one though I highly recommend you do. It changed my boy instantly in terms of napping.

We used both swaddlers and Love to Dream sleeping bag, we started using these around six weeks. Our baby quickly grew out of the swaddlers but the Love to Dream bag was really good, as it's transition version makes it easier to teach the baby to sleep without swaddling once they're big enough. We stopped using them before DS learned to roll properly around 4 months.
