Kia rio - car seat

Hi!
Bit of a long shot, but I'm looking to buy the Mothercare Journey pram with the car seat and it's currently in the sale! The problem is, we are in the process of changing our car! We're getting a Kia Rio hatchback and I'm not 100% sure if the seat will fit. Does anyone know if they are compatible? I'm thinking of getting it and returning it if it doesn't fit, but not sure they'd let me so would obviously ask in the shop before doing that!

Any advice or recommendations will be welcome! Thanks all xx

Does the seat use Isofix? I have a Rio and haven't had any problem fitting seats although havent tried the one you mention.

I believe it is seat belt fitted so not with a base. It says it is compatible 'with most cars' as it is universal, but it is all so new to me! I'm actually wondering if it's too early as I'm only 14 weeks but the deal is so good! Xx

Hi OP

Do you have a MC near you? We don't so used mamas and papas - they check online if the car seat is compatible for your car. It's probably a site you could do from home but I can't remember the name! Maybe worth popping into either store and asking them to check for you?

I also have a Rio and initially went for a seat belt CS however, with tight car spaces and poor parking outside my house (If not on the drive) - I'm so glad I got an isofix base CS instead. It's literally click and go so easy!

Thanks all! I think we'll pop in to the shop tomorrow to ask and go from there 🙂
