Advice on anti reflux milk causing constipation

My daughter is on cow and gate anti reflux milk and is suffering with constipation. She has one bowel movement a day but its solid and she cant push it out without me holding her legs towards her tummy. I've asked the health visitors and nurses and they said try cold boiled water, fresh orange juice. I've tried it all and it just isnt helping even the good old cycling legs and warm bath tummy rubs the works. I'm aware that anti reflux milk can cause this issue. Going to book her a doctors appointment but is there any other products or remedies I can try at home to help her soften it so that she can bowel movement on her own accord and not need my help. I feel so sorry for her bless but the anti reflux milk is working wonders in other aspects.

Thanks again for all you help and advice

I had this problem with my son. He was given lactulose (from memory, few years ago now) and gp advised to wean him early- at 4 months, which I did, to no ill effect and that certainly cured the constipation.

Oh it's awful I feel so sorry for her especially when you have tried all option professionals have asked. I just want her to be able to do it herself. Musnt be nice for her bless. I'll see what the doctor says but I was in two minds weather to weane her early or not as she isnt able to sit up just yet shes 19 weeks old

How old is she? You can ask for Rantitadine for reflux and then go back to standard first milk.
