Penicillin help

Hi everyone, my daughter is 7 months old. She was prescribed liquid penicillin for a throat infection/ tonsillitis. We stared them yesterday and they state to give 4 x daily; 6 hours apart and 30 mins before food. So she woke at 12.15am hungry, I would normally feed her and she would go back down, because I could feed her she was screaming and really woke herself up and we didn't get her back to sleep in cot until 3am. I know this isn't good for her as she needs sleep to help get better.

Would it be best to give the doses at 4 hour intervals in the day and none through the night? Or does the 6 hourly gap need to be religious?

Thanks in advance XX

I just split it during the day and stuck to a rough schedule to tie in with food times
