Things to do with baby

Hi guys

My little one is 11 weeks old and I'm wondering what we can be doing together.

We go swimming once a week and I'm lucky enough to have a farm 5 minutes away that we walk to when we're at a loose end.

Any suggestions on things we could be doing together that are going to be enjoyable for baby?

I feel like we're going to farms and things which I love as I love animals, we've been to a couple of soft plays that have baby sections but we have those things at home so I'm wondering if it's worth going.

I suppose I just feel a bit guilty that I'm not doing enough to entertain/educate baby. This is my first so basically I feel guilty and worried 247 lol. Baby is very chilled and smiley so I'm not necessarily worried they're bored I just worry that I could/should be doing more.

Any tips welcome x

At that age it's difficult tbh. We did swimming, baby sensory and a few bookbug sessions a week. DS loved sensory, but it was for me more than him at the early stages, it gave our day a bit of structure and got me out the house. He's now 10 months old and we still do all those things as much as we can now I'm back at work!

Oh, and I meant to say, at that age too everything is educational, even speaking to them and narrating your day is stimulation.

What do you like doing? Go and do things that you like and you can take the baby along to for a little while before you have to really entertain them.

I think I went to all the museums and galleries in town when DS1 was in a sling. Does your local cinema have a Big Scream session for parents and under ones?

Now I have a 11 month old who doesn't sit still and has very little patience for being in a carrier or pushchair, I would honestly say do things that YOU want to do. At that age baby will love to just be with you and taking in the sights and sounds. Shopping, cafes, library, museums etc etc. If you are looking for class ideas, baby sensory is the best class we have been to. We also liked baby singing and signing classes x
