I'm I the only person who feels guilty if I don't have my kids out and about every day in the holidays?
It's a lovely day and we're at home. They have a big enough garden to play in and plenty stuff but it still niggles me.
There are some days I just like being at home.

I am the same, (although ours is only 23months) but if the weather is nice, I just like having him out at the park, beach or in the woods doing something.

We do however have a good size garden with a slide, big Paddling pool, sand pits etc etc, so really there is absolutely no harm in having him at home, I just think it's a mindset we get into 😳😳

As a teacher, can I say there is lots of value in kids learning to entertain themselves? There are all sorts of skills they learn from the comfort of their own home that they aren’t as likely to learn if you’re taking them out all the time.

So you absolutely shouldn’t feel bad!

Don't feel guilty - it's fine!

There are days when I plan to go out but it becomes apparent early on that the DC need a day at home. You don't always need to be rushing round doing things. Learning to amuse themselves is a life skill.

We stay home a lot. No biggie.

Mine aren’t in school yet (all under 4) but I am a fan of staying at home! If it appeases your guilt there are lots of Instagram accounts to give you ideas of stuff to do with them at home.

I always feel like we need to be out and about doing things every day of the holidays. I know it's wrong but if we aren't out doing things I feel they are having a rubbish holiday time and I'm letting them down.
