I am taking my 7 month old to fuerterventura this August and we have booked a separate flight and private villa etc. We are currently struggling with how to get to the resort etc with no car seat (it is only a 10 minute drive away). We have emailed all the private taxi companies and non can guarantee a reverse car seat (only forward facing), so my options are as follows...

  1. Put baby in sling and fasten seat belt (underneath her) and/or have daughter on our knee.
  2. Bus transfer.
  3. Take our own car seat.

I am just wanting to know if anybody has been in a similar situation and what did you do? Or what would you advise?

Similar situation, we took our car seat, airline damaged it on the way home and it's been a nightmare getting it replaced. If you can, take it to the gate and they'll load it there.

We’ve always taken our own car seat.

We always used to take our own car seats in huge North face bags.

Take own car seat.

We took our own car seat in a travel bag we bought for that purpose. It’s no problem when they’re small - it’s a pain when they move up into the bigger seats!
