Sat in tears...

I just need somewhere to vent/air my feelings.

Tonight is the first night I have been apart from my baby and she's 18 months old. I am in bits!

Partner and I are exhausted as she is a terrible sleeper so we decided we needed a break.

So tonight she is with my mum. My mum has her for at least a day and a half a week and she seems to have a good bond with her.

I am just so emotional. I didn't give her a kiss goodnight.

Am I being a soft ass or is this normal?

I would love to say grow a pair but I would be exactly the same
I miss my dc when I’m at work Blush
Try and relax and enjoy it though you know she is in safe hands x

In the nicest possible way, you need to stop crying. She's safe and probably having a lovely time with your mum.

Start making this more frequent then its not as big a deal. I can't believe you have waited 18months to have a night away with your partner.

Enjoy your night off!!

I gleefully handed my kids over to their grandparents and skipped off to the pub with DH when they were little.

I know.....and a long 18 months it's been. My partner works away sometimes so he's been away from her before. I'm sure I will make it a more frequent thing but this first time has hit me hard

Enjoy it, go out!

I remember the first time DH and I went out for a meal when DS was a baby, we were back in an hour. 😂 MIL was like wtf are you two doing back?
