I'm sure this has been done to death but just so I have the latest info- this is all new to us- first child into reception...

Which shop does the best value school uniform? And particular my son is very very slim so I need slim fitting trousers if possible!

Also do all the supermarkets do a full range of different coloured polo shirts or is that the kind of thing I need to get from a uniform shop- it doesn't need a logo
Thanks!

I've always been happy with Sainsbury's.
My elder DD however often needs M&S slim fit to avoid looking like she's wearing a tent.

I buy from Asda and Tescos. No complaints about the quality for the price. I buy one uniform for every day for both kids (so 10 uniforms).

Both my boys are tall and skinny and not had any issues with supermarket trousers. The only issue is most have a zip fly which can be a bit awkward for reception age.

I live by a huge Asda and huge Tesco and both have a good selection of the uniforms for schools local to them. DC uniform is white shirts and blue jumpers which seems to be pretty common. I've also been able to get it from super markets all year round. But I know some other parents from other areas haven't.

M&S slim fit skinny leg trousers are the only ones that don't make my son look like a clown

Next slim fit trousers are the only ones narrow enough here, and they wear really well (still look almost new after a whole school year)
