18 month old sleep

Ok so every baby is different etc. but just wondering about any other parents out there with an 18 month old and how the sleep is going? DD2 took about 9 months to sleep for any decent length of time. Those 9 months were so full on with sleep deprivation, looking after baby and toddler. Finally things got better. Life got better. Now at 18 months we’ve jumped back. The sleep is so unpredictable. Sometimes crying for hours before settling at night, next night settling great but waking in the night for a few hours. I’m sometimes tempted to get her up again it’s so bad but the one time I tried that it was worse putting her back down again. Instead I just go up and down the stairs, cuddle, down, cry, cuddle down cry. Feel like I’ve got a newborn again. Any tips? Don’t remember this age with DD1 but have probably blocked it out. Although it can’t have been that bad as we were planning DD2 at that point. Can’t imagine that this time round

No advice but in exactly the same boat. I'm dying from the sleep deprivation! Mine also didn't sleep any great chunk until she was 1, but has been sleeping randomly through the night for a few months now. The last few weeks it's gone to hell. Hope it's just a phase for us both x

The harder thing at this point is you are meant to be back functioning in normal life, eg. Back at work but feel like I’m doing a terrible job as so tired and grumpy. Hope it gets better for you soon
