Ready to drop night feeds?

Morning! So I’m just wondering whether my son (7mo this) is nearly ready to drop his night feed and is just feeding as habit? The last 3 nights he has had his dreams feed at 9:30/10ish and drank all a 6 oz bottle. Then he will make up about 6 hours later (7.5 today!) so I figured he was hungry so fed him. He hasn’t drunk more than 120mls from a bottle and he used to be able to drank a whole 260mls. Is this more habit now and should I try to settle him before automatically getting up to feed him? Thanks xx

You could try it and if it works you’ll know he’s not hungry. He might just want less of a feed rather than no feed at all but worth trying.

Does your baby have a dummy? Can you try to give him/her a dummy instead of a feed ?

Thanks for the comments. He did have a dummy to sleep with but we've weaned him off it now. I'll try smaller feeds and see how that goes. I'm hoping this means he ain't too far off sleeping through the night consistently!
