withholding wee?

is this common when first potty training? (ds is 3 and we're 6 days into PTing....) he doesnt want to wee in the potty (but isnt having accidents...) :i

My DS won't wee. He sits on the toilet quite happily, I run taps etc. but he will not wee.

Any more ideas.

he's doing it at nursery, not at home it concerns me that he's not going for 5+ hours at a time... well, we'll see how today goes.
