I feel so sorry for my 3 year old!

My 3 year old is beginning to get very sad about her best friend starting school in September. There have been transition days this week and so her friend has been absent from nursery. She has become really upset about going to nursery and is asking to go to school too. 🙁 I feel really sorry for her and I’m dreading September when she’ll no longer be able to have the usual play dates during the non nursery days as well as not being with her at nursery. Is there anything I can do to make this easier for her? For anyone who’s had a similar situation, how long did it take for your child to adjust?

I think it’s just one of those things. No need to make a big deal out of it. Simply, they are going to nursery and you will see them another time. But I’m whatever way suits telling your child. I’m sure after a few weeks they will be fine.

Are you friends with the other child’s mum? Could you arrange play dates after school sometimes or weekends? Your child will usually get used to seeing them then in a week or so
