Terry nappies on busy toddler

My one and a half yo toddler is usually in shaped reusable nappies. When he was younger we also used terries. I gave up using them when he started getting mobile as I struggled to get them on him! Now he's SUPER mobile and I can barely get a shaped nappy on him. All nappy changes are done standing up 😂.

Is there any hope of me getting the terries on him again or should I give them away?

I loved using them before, as they dried so quickly and were so easy to store.

I'm guessing that all babies wore terries years ago. So there must be a way... Or maybe they potty trained earlier...

That's another reason I'd like to use them. We're going to potty train at some point so I don't want to have to buy any more shaped nappies. At the moment I need to do a nappy wash at least every other day.

Any wise words very much appreciated Smile.

I think babies used to be out of nappies much younger! I used terries on my toddler and it was fiddly but doable, find the fold that works for you and fold a day or twos worth in advance. Do you use pins or nippas?

I used them a bit but my girls always laid still for nappies.

I use nappy nippas and we've always used a kite fold. I also tried the bat wing and another one which I can't remember the name of, but they always came up too short for some reason, even when he was a lot smaller.

I wonder if I could somehow bribe incentivise him to lie still. I cannot remember the last nappy change I did where he lay down. Oh yes, I remember; yesterday in the baby change at soft play! He was not at all happy about lying down, but he did...

Good tip to fold in advance.
