My baby is 13 weeks old, he has always struggled with getting his wind up. I was using tommee tippee bottles and adding dentinox colic relief drops to his formula which seemed to be doing the trick. But since he has had his 12 week vaccination its all gone downhill!! On Sunday afternoon he was screaming for hours in pain, i tried gripewater, infacol and a little bit of cooled boiled water, in the end i ended up taking him to see an out of hours doctor who just advised its colic and its more upsetting for the parents rather than the baby?!? 🙄
Anyways yesterday I bought the MAM bottles in the hope they would help, but we've just had another colicky episode. Can anyone give me any advice or tips on what I can do to help my poor baby? Or would you think to try doctors again? X

Spark to health visitor to start referral process
Short term get a dummy (consultant told us he was delighted to see the dummy being sucked)
Sleep baby upright or on a tilt

Good luck. That was an awful stage ( both my twins had it )

Have you been trying things like the tiger in a tree position too? Everything adds up to help. My LO had colic too, I was so happy when it passed!

We had this until I found out it was silent reflux, it may not be in your case but it's worth a look at the symptoms to see if it matches up. Colic is awful - I hope it passes soon! X

The website Purple Crying is really good.

I feel your pain, we're at week 8 of this.

FYI- Infacol, Gripe water etc have no evidence for being effective. In our case I've stopped using. I was finding it added to the stress. But if you feel it's helping then carry on!

Colief drops really helped us,had tried all other things mentioned. Also try the colic routine of baby massage, easily found on google, really helps get rid of those trapped bubbles.

For my friend it wasn't colic it was cmpa but took a long time to be diagnosed op maybe lo is just feeling under the weather after jabs or because of the heat. Can't even remember how to do a tiger in a tree but think it helped us as did baby massage xx

@MrsPatrickDempsey so interesting! And absolutely fits with the thought that colic isn't really related to pain. Yet It's so commonly misdiagnosed as wind. Colic is crying.
