Comfort Formula Milk for Unsettled Baby

My 5 week old daughter has been a nightmare with her wind, tummy pain, being constantly unsettled. She cant sleep as something is always bothering her. She takes a bottle very difficult, you can hear the wind and milk hit her stomach and seems in pain when feeding but is hungry. Tried cow and gate milk, comfort cow and gate, doctors prescribed cows milk allergy formula which didnt help. Also advised to try hipp anti reflux. Tried all of them but she still seems unsettled.

A friend told me today her baby was exactly the same and tried many different formulas and swore by SMA Comfort formula.

She said it worked wonders overnight.

Does anyone else think it made a difference? Surely it doesnt matter what brand of milk it is, if comfort is comfort?

Please speak to gp before changing babies milk. My little one had same symptoms and has been diagnosed as lactose intolerant and is now on prescription milk.

There are two different types of allergy formula. The more expensive one is completely dairy free please repost under a title like CMPA in Bay or join a Facebook group which will be able to help.

Kyriesmum1 I thought my baby was lactose intolerant too. It’s actually incredible rare in babies are is more likely to be CMPA but babies with CMPA do show reduced symptoms on lactose free milk.

If anything it made my dd worse. Hv recommended cow and Gate Comfort and she screamed in pain.

Normal hipp and gripe water did the trick. I'd maybe stick to one type now, it might take a week for the changes to show x

See that you have tried lots of different milk. I have posted this link on another thread and thinks it's really useful, particularly as you have had no improvement with different milks.
