Hey! I’m just looking for some information really. I’m wondering if anyone has any experience weaning their baby off co-lactase? I can’t find any info anywhere. I’d like to know how long to wean for and at what increments to do it in. Any information would be great👍🏻 Thanks x

Did you have any luck weaning your baby off of co-lactase?

Took me about a month?! Did try a week and then she was back to pre colactase 🙈 we firstly reduced the amount of drops over the space of two weeks, then alternate feeds over a couple more weeks until she was finally off them. Worked well, but we did try to wean off them earlier than she was ready at first (think maybe 5 months?) But then went back on again for a month, and stopped fully when she was weaned... good luck 😊

Thank you.
Do you remember what her symptoms were for you to start using the drops?
My little boy was on them and it seemed to be working. Then ever since his 8wk Jabs I’m not sure they’re as effective

She was breastfed rather than formula which I know is a little strange to use co lactase, but suffered with really bad trapped wind- colic symptoms I suppose and reflux... and constant poop straining 🙄 suppose it was my last resort to give it a try... but worked for us x

Thank you. I was just worried I was doing it unnecessarily. But I guess it can’t harm them x
