Wondering if anyone can help...

I have a 10 week old (6 week corrected) baby girl.

She won't nap during the day unless she's on me and if I put her down at all she will cry.

She is ebf and I've noticed the last few days that she's been sucking on her hand/ muslin even when it seems she's not hungry.

I decided to try a dummy when trying to put her down for a nap; first one was mam 0+ one and she projectile vomited everywhere Confused. I tried very gently again later and she seemed really keen to take it but then gagged. I then tried a nuk one for newborns 0-2 months but she wouldn't take it at all.

Any advice or tips would be appreciated!

Does she have a tongue tie? That can cause quite severe gagging. Also if it’s sterilised in Milton fluid the taste may be making her gag. I’d persevere - try a few times a day and she may get used to it

My wee one did this. Turn out to have a mild tounge tie didnt affect feeding though. He would gag on any dummy so I gave up

Try hot water sterilising instead of Milton tablets/ fluid
Nuby 0-18moths have a slightly bigger rounder teat than MAM or TT so might be better
You let them latch on to the dummy, so put it gently against the top lip and then they should move their mouth towards it, otherwise you might be putting it in too far causing gag reflex

I don't think she has a tongue tie...no one has ever said anything and apart from a few issues with one side early on she is feeding fine
