*quick note to admin- yes this is the same post as netmums. I have had no response on there so I am trying on here. I also hope it’s in the right place otherwise feel free to move it.

Hiya fist post on here have moved from the dark side Grin next Tuesday me DH and our kids are flying to Turkey (Bodrum area) and are going away for 10 days. We haven’t done a family holiday since DD2 (our eldest) was 1 so it’s a lot different. I am starting to think of what to get ready and I am struggling as I don’t want to take so much with us. DD1 who is 1 is in nappies so I will probably take enough for the first few days, we have a cot at the hotel and I am going to take some formula with me. DS1 who is 3 still has lots of accidents and is not good at telling us when he needs to go so I think i will put him back into nappies I think he would prefer that and then we will give potty training another crack when back. DD2 is dry in the day but wet at night, at home she doesn’t wear pull ups or nappies as she thinks they are childish so we have the bed-mats however I think it’s very unfair on the cleaners having to change the bed every day and if she has been drinking lots in the day the bed mats normally can’t hold it all, also with the flight she isn’t 100% great at holding it especially in stressful situations and I certainly don’t want her to wet the seat as I know the planes are on a quick turn around. Anyone have any suggestions and tips on when they went away with young children?

Thanks x

Nappies - don't bother bring loads of nappies with you as you can get them out there. You will get more choice at the bigger supermarkets like Carrefour, Migros and Tansas. You can buy pampers nappies, they are called Prima in Turkey but I also recoemmend Turkish brands like Molfix, Evy baby or Can Baby, they are just as good as Prima but are cheaper. The Molfix has actually proved to be a better nappy than Pampers, especially for the night! You can get all your wipes there but bring nappy sacks with you as they don't have these. Swimming nappies are sometimes available but long not in every shop.

Baby Formula - There is not a big selection of baby formula available, mainly Aptamil as far as I know (I didn't formula feed so can't be too much help on this subject) and it can be very expensive so it is probably best to bring your own.
