Getting a cleaner

I'm at the point where I need to get a cleaner to help me out once a week. My baby barely sleeps at night, I'm running a business when she naps/sleeps, staying home with her everyday and I'm really struggling to stay on top of housework.

Where do I even start? How do I find a cleaner that is trustworthy without a recommendation. Do I make sure I'm home/ not home whilst the cleaner is here? How does it all work 😅 I don't really like the idea of somebody cleaning my home, I know that's silly but I just really need the help.

(Partner works till late and does help out but he does such a crappy cleaning job, it's not to my standards at all haha)

Cleaner here!! Lots of care sites where you can message and meet potential cleaners.
Word of mouth is how I got most of my customers so ask around!
Good luck!

Ask on a local facebook page for a recommendation.

I asked on our local Facebook group for recommendations. I made sure I was here first few times then I felt happy to leave her to it if I need to go out. I personally would rather be around though but that's just me. It has helped us out so much!

Word of mouth was where I got our amazing cleaner. She’s practically like an extension of the family. If we didn’t have her, the house would not get cleaned full stop as I do not have the time or the energy on top of DCs, work and chronic illness. She has a key and lets herself in when we’re at work/school every Friday. In addition to hoovering, dusting, mopping etc she puts clean sheets on all of the beds (I strip them on a Friday morning before we leave) and irons all of my and the DCs’ uniforms. I love coming home to my clean, orderly house on a Friday, with all the ironing done and the beds fresh. When we went away on holiday for a couple of weeks, we came home to all the extra laundry clean and folded and the windows sparkling as she had extra time from not having to do ironing or bed changes.

She does my stress levels no end of good Smile
