I think the guidance is pillow and thin duvet after 1 yo

@Jellybean100 really? A pillow too? I didn't know that. Does it have to be a child's one I assume? Or? My daughter goes to sleep at the bottom of the cot but turns around in all directions when she does and could end up asleep at the top so I'm just worried if she pulled it over her face or something

It doesn’t mean you have to introduce a pillow and duvet after 1yo, it’s just to not use them under 1yo if that makes sense. The pillow should be a flattish toddler pillow and a light togged duvet (4.5 is standard for toddler I think).

Dd is nearly 2 and still in her cot. We still uses a sleep sack because it keeps her feet in and she hasn't worked out how to climb out her cot in a sleep sack.. i reckon she'd manage in about 3 seconds if we used a duvet.
Plus she's such a wriggler, she'd be cold with a duvet because she wouldn't stay underneath it.

DS has had one for about 6months. It's mostly folded at the end of his hot but he is just now starting to suss it out x
