Any idea how i can encourage an 8 year old to entertain himself? After school and weekends he mopes around claiming he's bored and deliberately starting fights with his sibling. We occupy him with plenty of activities - football a few times a week, swimming lessons, Cubs etc and he has free access to plenty of lego and toys. He just seems to have no initiative to find things to do in quiet moments at home. No interest in things like reading. Feels like he's lacking an important life skill and it causes tension at home, with no one getting any down time.
