9 months old - bags under eyes

Hello,

My 9 month old has bag under his eyes and I can’t seem to figure out why. I’ve attached a picture.

He sleeps okay, tosses and turns at night. But only wakes up once.
He naps twice a day and naps well.

Has he an allergy to something? There’s no other symptoms so I don’t pinpoint it.

Could it be dust? He has a lot of colds so it could be this. I use saline drops, could over use of this cause it?

I feel abit stupid going to the doctors with just a query about bags under eyes when there’s nothing else.

It can be a sign of dehydration. He may need more water.

He has 3-4 bottles of 8oz formula so about 600ml-800ml of water mixed with formula plus sips of water with each meal. Is that still not enough?

DD has her water bottle available at all times now, has done since around 9 months so she can drink as much as she wants. She hasn't had milk in the daytime since around 7 months though.

I'd try upping water intake.

Allergies possible, I have black bags under my eyes that disappear when I stop gluten

Sometimes it’s just genetic. The skin is thinner there so you can see the blood vessels underneath - that’s where the bluish tiny comes from.

I know because I have this myself and always have!
