When did you remove newborn insert from car seat?

My baby is 7 weeks and looks pretty tight with the insert but I think he’s still too small to remove it. He weighs 11lbs. When did you remove yours? Thanks

Each seat should have guidelines by weight.

At about 12 weeks I think. He was about 13lb and quite long. But my seat did have strap slots so you could move the insert up. I think 7 weeks is very small as they have no head control.

About 11 weeks i think. He looks like a sardine squashed in a tin and cried everytime we put him in there. Took it out and voila, he loves his car seat now

9 weeks... Like @mrsed1987 DS cried everytime he was in the car seat, once we removed it and he had more space he was fine
