Red spots on baby?

Alicia870 · 15/06/2019 21:13

8 month old and just noticed today she has a couple of red raised spots on her back and one on her hand. Haven't noticed any others. She's been off a bit with cold the past couple of days just has a blocked nose but otherwise no temperature. Any ideas??

Do they look like blisters or fluid filled
Could be chicken pox
My dd is prone to random spots though for no reason but cold symptoms can happen before pox rash appears

Chicken pox? See if more develop overnight.

Just really small spots at the moment no blisters or anything like that.

I'm just also worrying as I met a pregnant friend yesterday and her toddler. I don't want to text her to worry her if it's nothing but maybe I should let her know?!

I’d wait until you know for sure.

If it’s chicken pox, the spots will have turned into blisters by the morning, they’re really unmistakable.

Ok thanks everyone. Is it risk to pregnant women? I know I wasn't to know but would hate to think it would put her baby at risk

Its only a risk if she hasn't had chickenpox before
It's rare to catch it twice
