Has anyone had any trouble with childcare providers not signing up to the new payment scheme?
My current provider is refusing to sign up to it as they claim there is no guarantee that they will receive their payment. I have spoken to student finance about it and they say there is no way to bypass the new system and when I asked what there suggestions were if in mini worstcase scenario I cannot find any alternative childcare they suggested I get a nanny, take my child with me, ask the university if the times can be changed to suit school hours or withdraw from my course.
I'm sure I'll be able to work something out eventually but have been left wondering if anyone else has been affected by this.
