My dream is to go into nursing. I know you can do an access course online with learn direct, has anyone done an online one and can you tell me about it? Do universities prefer actual college attendees or does it not matter?
I work as a care assistant in a dementia care home currently and o have a huge amount of personal care experience with my disabled child.
If I want to go to college I'll have to do my GCSES first but online will accept my Functional Skills certificates.

Hi, I did an access to health at college. Most of the people on my course went into nursing, those that got a place anyway. I would speak to college about your entry qualifications. Quite a few in my access were doing gcse English and maths alongside their access. It was very hard work as they were holding down jobs at the same time.

I would say you get a lot more support and help at college which will benefit you massively through the nursing application process etc and on for your future study so I would try and go down the college route if possible.
