FTM advice needed on bedding/carrycot/crib

We have got a pram which has a carrycot which we aim to use out and about and also in the house for naps.
Do you use a sheet over the top of the carrycot mattress? A waterproof sheet? Blanket and sheet underneath baby for a bit more comfort?

I also will have a Snuzpod crib for nights which I have bought waterproof sheets for. Should I use the waterproof sheet, with a normal sheet? Do I layer sheets to easily whip off in the night in case of leakages etc.. and again - a blanket underneath for comfort? Or not needed?

Thanks!

I bought some moses basket size sheets for the carrycot part of the pushchair, and i would fold a muslin cloth in half and put that under the babys head. This made any sick incidents easier to clean and saved having to wash the entire pushchair.

Definitely put another sheet over the waterproof sheet. I found some cheaper non official cot sheets on ebay for the snuzpod. They were 1cm smaller than the snuzpod but i stretched them!

I can try and find the link if you want

I used fitted Moses basket sheets in the carry cot, didn’t bother with a waterproof sheet for it.

Thanks Hello, I have bought 2 waterproof sheets so far and have lots of sheets which should fit the snuzpod.

Is 2 waterproof sheets enough for crib?

I just put a folded muslin cloth under his head, tucked in at the sides. He legit never once puked on it. I was faffing about for nothing.

Pastaalldaylong · 12/06/2019 21:06

@Faster is that for carrycot or crib?

The pram, he slept in it during the day. He slept in a Moses basket at night for a good six months, we just had two sheets. I just slung one in the washer when it needed.
I honestly go through more bedding now he’s two and likes to leak his nappies at night than he did as a newborn. You’ve got more than enough stuff.

2 water proof sheets should be plenty.

I had a very sicky baby so the doubling up was definitely needed.

A good tip- if you have a sicky baby layer the snuzpod up waterproof sheet, normal sheet waterproof sheet normal sheet. Nothing like just being able to strip layers and not having to remake the bed at 3am in the morning when you're sleep deprived

I also put a muslin cloth in the snuzpod to catch anything- but i did have a very sicky baby!!! You may not have this issue x
