My 10 day old cries and fussed when being winded, last two nights for around 3 hours around midnight he was a little unsettled and griping, my first had reflux and was very sucky from the get go, this one isn't sucky but I'm terrified he has silent reflux and I'm about to go through the whole rigmarole of trying to get him diagnosed and finally get help ! My first was 3 months old before I got help 😭😭 I can't imagine going through it again and dealing with a lively two year old 😭😭 help

I was lucky my DS was diagnoses silent reflux very quickly. I heard osteopaths can work wonders for fussy babies btw.

@Smith888 did you get medicated quite quickly ? My first was given ranitidine and it worked wonders ! My healthcare visitor is coming Monday so I shall mention it to her, I'll book appointment at doctors if I still think he's suffering after a few more nights c

It was so long ago but I believe he had omeoprazole powders and some special baby milk (Enfamil?) which was heavier. My DS was 9 weeks preemie and could not breastfeed.

My oldest wasn’t so lucky. He was quickly diagnosed with colic and prescribed simethicone (am sure he had silent reflux) and I believe the different treatment has affected his digestion/muscle tone. He is 12 now and is currently being investigated for IBD. I am told reflux is one of the things they will test for!
Would a diagnosis be a bit faster given that your other child has silent reflux?
