Messy Home 24/7

Please tell me it's not just my home?!
I have a 2 year old and 6 week old.
Between constantly breastfeeding and trying to keep 2yo entertained, I'm finding it a real struggle to keep on top of housework and then I feel so embarrassed and ashamed when people come over. I do try when baby is !finally! sleeping. But it never seems to end :(

You've got a 6 week old! No one will care about the messy home. Just survive the next 6 weeks, sleep when the baby sleeps. You're doing great!

I have just 1 toddler and I am constantly tidying and my house is still always a bloody state- no one should judge and if they do screw them!!!

I have three and six year old...it is only now that the house is beginning to look slightly more tidy. This is because they have reached an age of negotiation/bribery. So settle yourself in, ignore the mess and enjoy your tiny new baby. Most visitors come to see you not judge your home.

Honestly no one will be looking or thinking anything with a 6 week old and 2 year old

Why on earth would you feel embarrassed or ashamed ? Confused
Your absolute focus, 6 weeks in, is your baby and your toddler.
No-one will probably even notice (they've come to see the baby, not inspect your house). If anyone does notice, they would think nothing of it, er, because you have a tiny baby.

You've got a 6 week old! As well as a toddler. Give yourself a break, woman.

I'm sorry OP but nobody cares in the nicest possible way. You have a 6 week old baby, congratulations! Enjoy the special time and let the house be messy. Embrace it. It won't always be like this. Choose to play with the 2 year old over tidying. Also a tidy house with 2 children esp that small is just weird. Mine are 2 years apart, they are a bit bigger now at 5 and 3 and the only thing I regret is not letting the house be more messy when they were that age and playing more and being more present in the moment.
