Should I be concerned about temperature?

A couple of nights ago ds (15 months) was up most of the night in his cot. We put him to bed usual time at 7pm slept about an hour and then he was up in his cot until about 11. I could see and hear him on the monitor. I think he was off on an adventure with his teddy as it involved lots of laughter so I didn't worry about resettling him.
Yesterday morning he woke up tired as to be expected. He was fine until his morning nap and woke up with a raging temperature. I gave him calpol but he didn't want to play with his toys or anything so we just had an easy day with lots of cuddles and he spent most of it asleep on me.
His temperature went back up around 5pm so I gave him more calpol and had a nice hug until I put him down to bed an hour early at 6pm.
He slept through until 7am (unheard of in our house! Especially on a Saturday!) this morning he is happy as Larry, just a little pale. We will go for a walk later just to get some fresh air but should I be concerned about his temperature yesterday or just come to thw conclusion that ds is over whatever he had?

If he's fine today I wouldn't worry about it, whatever it was seems to have passed.
