He won't nap!

He won't nap, at all, hours Iv spent trying to get him to nap, and nothing. This is the 3rd week now and I'm exhausted and emotional drained. Iv cried every day throughout the day for these weeks. Nothing I do is making a difference.

He's not hungry, hes definitely tired, I understand he's overtired as am I!!
Any one have a way I can stop this awful cycle!
I'm seconds away from loosing my mind over it!

Sorry it's all so stressful for you at the moment.

How old is your baby?

Mumbaikar · 07/06/2019 11:43

Can you take him for a walk or drive?

Thesearmsofmine · 07/06/2019 11:43

How old is he? I am guessing quite small, could you take him for a walk on the pram? Or pop him in a sling?

Also it is ok to pop your baby somewhere safe for a few minutes while you go and collect yourself.

He's 11 months. And has never been a great sleeper at night. Last night he woke 5 times. He's been up since 6:30 and still hasn't napped this morning.
I can't get anything done round the house or get myself ready.
He would sleep in the car but I'm not going to start that habit as then it will be my only option and I'm not willing to drive round for and hour every morning and afternoon x

How do you usually get him to sleep? Would he sleep if you lay with him?

Poppy1989 · 07/06/2019 11:49

He use to nap on me but now won't. He just kicks around and then cry's. I try putting him in his cot and he just stands up every time and screams!

I'm the same with my 9 month old. So draining. Hope you find a solution!

No real help but some solidarity.

@WHAT91
Iv never been so angry about a nap before! But he's awful when he hasn't slept and there's nothing that I can do that seems to change it! He just screams and fights me the whole day! I can't do anything, as he never sleeps! He's with me constantly and even at night I'm still only get a few hours as he will wake up every 1.5 hours from 8pm till the morning!

I hope you sort it too! I know it can be exhausting, it just takes routine and persistence too
