Formula feeding mums, how many oz was your newborn taking at 4-5 weeks?

My LO is 5 weeks old and is on 4oz formula every 3-4 hours, usually closer to the 3 hour mark.

She doesn't always drain the bottle and sometimes leaves half an ounce or so.

I'm curious what others newborns were taking and how often?

My little girl was the same, she could only take small amounts! (still has a bottle age 3 but that's another matter!)

My week old is currently taking 4/5oz every 3 hours, sometimes only has 3oz, depends how hungry he is at the time really.

So all pretty normal :)

I was going to say Linda, 4-5oz every 3-4 hours at a week old is impressive

I was contemplating upping her bed time feed to 5oz but decided against if for now as I don't want to gauge her belly. Will wait to amend the feeds until she continually drains her bottles
