Car seat / travel system

I like the look of the Joie spinner car seat but obviously you can’t clip it to pram. Do you think it is handy to have a car seat that can attach or is a big travel system a waste?

I had a travel system but did not get on with it as it was too bulky. We got a Joie spin and it's really good, makes getting baby on and out much easier.

We have the Jolie 360 now (DS is one) but we bought the Jane Trider travel system. It was recommended by a MNetter and hs been fabulous. The main reason for getting it is that baby can lay flat in the car until 10 kg. The car seat can be in flat mode or sit up mode so it was great for taking DS straight from the car to bed when he was little. It also comes with a pushchair attachment which we can probably use til he’s about 4. The down sides are that it’s heavy and big although you can take the wheels off to lake it smaller for the boot of the car. The three wheel system also makes it great on rough terrain. Overall it was a great purchase and I can highly recommend it. We now use the car seat in DH car and I have the Joie 360 in mine.

The infant carriers are handy for when they are tiny but for dd2 we didn't bother because they are heavy to lift out of the car and don't allow them to lie flat (the infant carrier used for dd 1 was borrowed) we had a birth to 4 years old seat, but bought in us so different brands to here
