Try the not on the high street website. Loads of lovely stuff on there. For dps first fathers day I got him a card from there that said how many days he'd been a father so far. And I key ring with a QR code on. When scanned it had dds name and date of birth. Spent less than £30 all together.

He’ll get a card, maybe a nice bottle of something, I’ll cook a nice lunch and he’ll enjoy 24 hours of adoration from the dc.

He has a starwars t-shirt, a personalised card for the kids to decorate and five and we will cook him a breakfast of pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Same as every year

Give, not five

I am a firm believer in not buying junk to fill the house with clutter that will end up in landfill. Dh will get a homemade card from the dc, and 6 decent bottle of beers from a few local breweries. We'll also go for lunch.

Our first Father's Day, too. He's a big golfer, so he's getting a set of personalised balls with DS name/dob/photo. I'll do a photo card as well with DS's handprint as a signature

DP is a coffee lover, so we’ve got him a nice mug, a new cafetière to replace his old one which got smashed and we’ll pick him up some fancy coffee and shortbread too, plus the handmade card from DC.

CarrieBlu · 01/06/2019 22:07

DP and I always have firm rules about only buying things that are needed and will actually get used though.

RaptorWhiskers · 01/06/2019 22:10

I ordered matching T-shirts for DH and DC, mostly for the photo opportunity. A box of sweets and a card.

Charlottejade89 · 01/06/2019 22:11

I'm not a fan of tacky mothers/fathers day crap that doesn't get used so I will be getting him some shoes that he wants for our holiday a couple weeks after fathers day and a card

I came on to say similar! For our 1st Mother's and Father's Day, we just gave each other a card, a small photo of the child and had a nice meal out. No need really for stuff.

BestIsWest · 01/06/2019 23:00

Bottle of pink gin for mine. DCs will sort their own out for DH.

WeeWeed · 01/06/2019 23:13

We don't do cards or landfill junk so it will be a tool that he has mentioned he'd like for a project he is about to start working on.

Toblerone. They usually do one that days Tomydad.
