Hi everyone,

I have a 6 week old baby boy called Arthur, who was born 5 weeks early, who has been struggling since we got him home with reflux / regurgitation. He wont really ever settle at the moment.

He's tried gaviscon which didn't seem to work along with colief, infacol and various combinations of all 3.

We've managed to get milk (Aptamil Reflux) to stay down but he's so loud between feeds!

He's fed, we try and wind him without making him sick, then we put him down and it's grunting, loud noises and arching his back non stop.

We try him sat up and it doesn't really help.

Does anyone have any ideas on how we can get him to settle down and rest after a bottle. I'd love just sleep for an hour Confused

Hey OP it does sound like he's still refluxing.

Maybe see you GP and see if they will prescribe ranitidine or maybe omeprazole to reduce the amount of acid that's coming back.

Positioning is your friend here try and keep him head up as much possible to use gravity to help keep his milk down.

It hard but it does get better, as he grows his muscle tone will improve to keep his feeds down and weaning will make a massive difference in time.

So for now you're doing a fantastic job, keep going beautiful mummy you're the best
